#58 Men Have Huge Egos

I agree. And that probably, indirectly has something to do with why I haven't eaten dinner at 1am in the morning. Think I'll go to sleep instead.

And even though I told myself I've gotten over the ego-bashing scene at work, subconsciously it seems to linger.

I wanna kick your balls.

That was what I said in a fit of rage. Though it was just a small issue, it was aggravated by my illness-ridden body and an absolutely ZERO-EQ brother. Well ZERO-EQ at that point in time. I still don't think he has learnt his mistake. =/

And so I chose to take the public transport home. It was not a wasted trip though. On the way back I helped a Japanese (from what they speak) family get the general direction to their intended destination and had a good time feeling the breeze by the Singapore River.

The night scape was really beautiful.

How I wish I could stop time and just enjoy the gentle breeze and dazzling night sky.

Man, my granny should have been there. Staying in the house 90% of the time is bad for health.

Then reaching home I just realised something. Most of the stalls at Kopitiam is closed. If I really wanted to fill my stomach, I'm going to have to head to MacDonald's.

Sian 1/2. >_<

#57 Imagine This..

Someone shouts at you to eat lunch once, twice, three times. Irritated you shout back that you will when you feel like it, because right now you are playing a game. When you see the food you grumble at the lack of choices and demand why she cooked the food instead of buying from outside. After glaring at the food, you stomp your foot back to the computer and continue playing.

Then imagine this.

The frying pan is heavy. Where once twenty years ago it used to be still manageable, now it takes two or three times the effort just to hold it up. After cooking, you ask the boys to eat their lunch in your usual loud voice. You are met with sarcastic resistance about the cooking not being nice as last time and why you did not just buy food from outside. After washing the pans, you eat your own lunch in silence. Once more you ask the boys to eat and once more they tell you they will eat when they want to. You walk past and make a remark about not wanting to help them cook anymore and they retort back. Tired, you walk up the stair to your room to take the afternoon nap.

The atmosphere is spoilt.

Come on. Don't be a big kid and regret it in the future when you could have just reacted to granny better. You are big now but you still retain the tantrums from before.

So what if she is old and should know better than to shout and shout. It is only her normal voice.

Instead shouldn't you aspire to know better?

The only problem? I don't know how to tell you this in the face, because just as I have before, you would probably stomp up into your room, slam the door and sulk. And probably treat me sarcastically when I talk to you.

#56 You Know

It sucks eating everything and tasting nothing.

Maybe there's a life lesson behind it?

My sore throat spread (not sure if its the right word) to cause a runny nose, reduced senses and aching muscles causing pain in my lower abdomen.

Ah well.

Whoopie! I finished Gong Zhu Xiao Mei in *record* time. 4 days.

And yes, this is the first time I watched such a series. Influence courtesy of Jerrome. o_O

#55 Can I Say I'm Enjoying My Holidays?

Had a reunion dinner on Sunday night; was good seeing the cousins and uncles but I was very self-conscious. I guess it's been in me for so long its become a habit, yeah?

But it was good chatting with my cousin; he's a real miracle case. From being a staunch unbeliever of God, smoking, getting into gangfights and spewing vulgarities, he was saved, and he helped his girlfriend to come to know the Lord last year Fire Conference. Am amazed by God's provision in his family.

But still self-conscious. LOL

Anyway it's so much slower nowadays.

The time I mean.

And I've got an open secret.

I do housework shirtless. Up on the menu today: Doing the laundry, packing the house and vacuuming the floor. Now I understand why one storey houses beat double storey ones.

Clean the first floor today, clean the second floor tomorrow, and the first floor needs cleaning again!

And I've got to go buy groceries sometime soon; can't stand not having instant noodles in the house!

#54 Ever Taken Those...

"Which Heroes Character Are You?"

or

"Which Naruto Character Are You?" tests?

Well after watching the Kamen Rider Kabuto series come to a closure, there's just one person in the series whom I feel I can connect to.

Sou Yaguruma.

Originally Kamen Rider TheBee and the leader of the elite SHADOW team, he had high potential and great aspirations. Kanzen Chowa or "Perfect Harmony", his life philosophy.

Until it all came crashing down because of a stupid mistake. Emotions? Anger, resentment.

He repents and tries once more, only to be cruelly dashed by circumstances. Soon he disappears, returning to the series as Kamen Rider Kick Hopper, the avatar of darkness.

Darkness felt powerful, and he soon teamed up with his ex-subordinate, Shun Kageyama (who abandoned him once, but whom he converted to the darkness as Kamen Rider Punch Hopper). Yaguruma refered to Kageyama as Aibo (or partner) and Kageyama refered to him as Aniki (or big brother), reflecting the closeness of their new bond.

Through the rest of the series they wandered, dueled and battled everyone else with little purpose.

But what touched me most, was at the very end of the series, at the very last point in the story.

He came back to search the light.

A man thoroughly destroyed by decisions, his reactions to circumstances and having embraced the darkness, turned back to the light. A caring leader turned aimless ruffian chose to "regain the light once again".

For how long I never know. After all, it is Kamen Rider Kabuto, walking the path of heaven, the man who will rule over everything.

Not Sou Yaguruma, walking the path of an ambigous resolution.

Are you laughing at me? - Sou Yaguruma

#53 Requiem

Sasword/Kamishiro Tsurugi dies.

And once again, I teared.

It's funny that Tokusatsu (a.k.a. Kamen Rider, GARO, Ultraman) and Sentai make me cry more than romance movies or soap operas. Guess after a long series its quite sad to see things come to an end (or characters get killed off).

It's funny, Kamen Rider Sasword started of as a proud prick (whom I thought should have been kicked in the balls or something). But it's still sad watching him die x_x.

Quote: "I will defeat all worms." (Worms are the series villain)
The irony? He found out he was a worm himself. So he promptedly pretended to be evil so he could be finished off by the other masked riders.

When you try and try, there comes a point you'll try no more.

And then you try again.
