#54 Ever Taken Those...

"Which Heroes Character Are You?"

or

"Which Naruto Character Are You?" tests?

Well after watching the Kamen Rider Kabuto series come to a closure, there's just one person in the series whom I feel I can connect to.

Sou Yaguruma.

Originally Kamen Rider TheBee and the leader of the elite SHADOW team, he had high potential and great aspirations. Kanzen Chowa or "Perfect Harmony", his life philosophy.

Until it all came crashing down because of a stupid mistake. Emotions? Anger, resentment.

He repents and tries once more, only to be cruelly dashed by circumstances. Soon he disappears, returning to the series as Kamen Rider Kick Hopper, the avatar of darkness.

Darkness felt powerful, and he soon teamed up with his ex-subordinate, Shun Kageyama (who abandoned him once, but whom he converted to the darkness as Kamen Rider Punch Hopper). Yaguruma refered to Kageyama as Aibo (or partner) and Kageyama refered to him as Aniki (or big brother), reflecting the closeness of their new bond.

Through the rest of the series they wandered, dueled and battled everyone else with little purpose.

But what touched me most, was at the very end of the series, at the very last point in the story.

He came back to search the light.

A man thoroughly destroyed by decisions, his reactions to circumstances and having embraced the darkness, turned back to the light. A caring leader turned aimless ruffian chose to "regain the light once again".

For how long I never know. After all, it is Kamen Rider Kabuto, walking the path of heaven, the man who will rule over everything.

Not Sou Yaguruma, walking the path of an ambigous resolution.

Are you laughing at me? - Sou Yaguruma
